This is an of the archive book and is indexed for easy reference. Most of the bridges are single-track bridges of various types. There are some standard bridges that were used system wide and some unusual bridges. There are overhead highway bridges and I beam bridges, etc. The drawings cover a span of many years. The most unusual bridge is a pedestrian overpass for the insane, which might be useful on some model layouts. The appeal of the book is in the viewing of actual bridge documents, none of which has ever been published.
The book might be of some use for model railroaders, especially the timber trestles, which are covered in some detail. This is not, however, a how-to book. Some of the bridge plans are missing sheets and incomplete, but the general construction is obvious enough. Many of the bridges that we had intended to do would not reproduce off the original blueprints, and many of the key bridges on the main lines did not exist in our collection.
