The C&NW Historical Society scanned a number of Chicago Great Western Railway employee timetables issued between 1899 and 1940. With these scans, one can view the growth of the Chicago Great Western. Please note, not all timetables were available to the C&NWHS to be scanned, so the CD-ROM is not a complete set of timetables, but is a representative set of timetables for each division during that period.
To read any of the pdf.files, the user needs to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on their computer. The user at least must have version 4.0 of the reader installed on their computer. A copy of version 6.0 of the reader is provided on this CD-ROM in the file. This CD should be compatible with both PC’s and MAC’s. Because of the huge amount of short-term information, this program should be run soon after turning on the computer, and it will probably run best on newer computers.
